'May your day be as flawless as your make-up'
Semi-permanent make-up, also known as micropigmentation, is a form of temporary cosmetic tattooing which allows you to have long-lasting lip colour as well as being able to shape and contour your eyebrows. The procedure involves tiny particles of pigment being placed beneath the surface of the skin, much like a tattoo. This pigment will stay in the skin for a number of years, gradually breaking down and fading with time, although the longevity of the results will depend on your age and skin type.
Micropigmentation techniques have been refined in recent years and a wider selection of pigment colours have been developed so that technicians can create ultra-natural looks. Only a trained semi-permanent make-up artist can perform this treatment.
Our semi permanent make up artist Viktoria Zem has over 5 years experience training with the German company Purebeau one of the leaders in semi permanent make up.
METHOD ONE: MICROBLADING (HAIRSTROKE)
Microblading is a new and updated semi-permanent make-up technique where, through manual process of inserting pigment into the upper layers of skin, we create the desired fullness and shape of the eyebrows. The procedure involves hundreds of tiny strokes that build a texture that looks like your own eyebrow hair. The effects can last up to 12-24 months, depending on skin types, after which the pigment fades leaving the skin and your natural brows natural. The results are very natural and lifelike, giving the brows a natural, fuller look.
Are there any microblading side effects?
In your first session, it’s very common for your body to try to reject the ink, so you may experience up to 60-80% rejection.
People that are pregnant, prone to keloids, or have had an organ transplant should avoid microblading altogether. You should also be cautious if you have a compromised liver or a viral condition such as hepatitis.
